Malcolm Harker studies Advanced Herbology for the science and chemistry of medicinal plants and disease, marrying, from the atomic level up, appropriate herbs and herbal blends to deal with illness and afflictions. In this way they can effectively and permanently influence ill health, from the atomic level up, and create a strong foundation for healing.
Thousands of people using Malcolm Harker products have said they have been helped by the lifestyle philosophies and products which were developed over decades. Tens of thousands have found relief from long endured conditions. Several doctors have also taken an interest in results experienced by their patients, some even encouraged patients to keep using the products. A number of doctors have said they have re-evaluated some of their long-held beliefs and have taken a more serious look at natural treatments. The tonics and balms have evolved over 30 years of constant research, improvements, re-evaluations and consequent refinements in quality and efficacy.
Harker Herbals proudly produce more than 80 products and our range continues to grow. Malcolm Harker himself is responsible for making every product from their base in Waipu, and continues to use traditional methods for manufacture. In keeping with time-honoured methods, all products are free from parabens, petroleum, sodium laurel sulphates and propylene glycol to ensure they contribute to a cleaner, greener environment. It is their vision to remain an ethical business providing high-quality products, made-traditionally and using only the finest and safest ingredients.
At Harker Herbals we follow Malcolm’s view and honour the human body in a holistic manner. All of their tonics and elixirs are created to help retain harmony in the physical body and assist in returning the body to a state of better health. Waipu was the centre of a significant Presbyterian settlement led by Rev. Norman McLeod, a Presbyterian Minister who led his people from the Highlands of Scotland to New Zealand via Pictou and St. Ann's in Nova Scotia and Australia. Five shiploads containing over 800 settlers arrived at Waipu in the 1850s.
"I personally guarantee that all the imported and locally-sourced ingredients in my products are from non-sprayed, wild-gathered, organic and home-grown sources, and I further assure that my products are handmade using traditional methods only, and that they do not contain chemical preservatives, artificial or ‘nature-identical’ colours or flavours; nor do they contain fractionated plant derivatives." - Malcolm K.
