The premium, plant sterol esters contained in Phytosterol Complex may reduce the risk of heart disease.
Solgar, Heart & Cholesterol, Mens Health
Phytosterols are plant-derived compounds similar in structure to cholesterol. Some of these compounds, including beta-sitosterol, have been clinically documented to support cardiovascular health and to promote healthy cholesterol levels already within normal range.* The premium, plant sterol esters contained in Phytosterol Complex may reduce the risk of heart disease.
A serving of Phytosterol Complex supplies 0.9 grams (900mg), of vegetable oil sterol esters. Foods and supplements containing at least 650 mg per serving of plant sterol esters, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 1300 mg, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease through the intermediate link of blood total and LDL cholesterol.
